Creating More Pathways for Emerging Creators Among HBCU Students

Apple and Propel Center are set to host an exhilarating accelerator program for HBCU students. The program will focus on harnessing modern technology for creative endeavors in music, digital art, and digital marketing. Participants will have unique opportunities to engage in career conversations, network with industry experts, and develop essential skills through hands-on workshops.

The collaboration between Apple, Propel Center, and Southern Company aims to empower emerging creators from diverse backgrounds by offering access to cutting-edge technology, resources, and expertise necessary to thrive in the arts and entertainment industries. With a commitment to addressing equity and diversity gaps, this initiative underscores Apple's ongoing dedication to social justice through its Racial Equity and Justice Initiative (REIJ).

Through a $200 million commitment across education, economic empowerment, and criminal justice reform, Apple continues to pave the way for meaningful change and empowerment within underrepresented communities, enabling them to thrive, break barriers, and become leaders in their respective fields. The accelerator program is just one example of how Apple is leveraging its resources and partnerships to create lasting impact and opportunities for the next generation of creative leaders. Scheduled to begin June 10 at Tennessee State University and end at Atlanta’s Clark Atlanta University during the week of June 16, these programs not only provide essential resources and opportunities for HBCU students but also foster a culture of inclusion and diversity within the arts and entertainment industry.

Join us in celebrating this groundbreaking collaboration and the endless possibilities it holds for HBCU students as they embark on a transformative journey of creativity, innovation, and empowerment. This initiative perfectly mirrors Propel Center's core values of empowerment and equity, creating a ripple effect of positive impact and opening doors of possibility for HBCU students to shine as leaders and trailblazers in their respective fields.
